Working at Merck’s sprawling headquarters in Boston’s Longwood Medical and Academic District, JM Electrical installed retrofit kits for 5,000 lighting fixtures on 12 floors of lab space and six levels of the underground parking garage serving this prominent biopharmaceutical company. This center, which opened in 2004 and employs a staff of 450, focuses on immunology, oncology, diabetes, and neuroscience research. With its distinctive aqua-tinted façade, the building offers approximately 300,000 square feet of research and development space.
