Since its founding, JM Electrical has made giving back to the communities in which we live and work a priority. In light of this longstanding commitment, we support several nonprofit organizations that represent causes we feel passionate about.
St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital
JM Electrical has been a longtime supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, a relationship that began with Paul Guarracino’s parents, Alfred and Anne, three generations ago. Since then, JM Electrical has been dedicated to supporting St. Jude’s through high-level sponsorships and employee involvement at events that raise funds to help cover the cost of patient care. A plaque honoring Alfred and Anne for their dedication to this lifesaving institution is featured in the hospital’s lobby.
In 2020, JM Electrical’s Principal and CEO Matthew Guarracino trained for almost a year in preparation for the Boston Marathon. He ran this legendary race “virtually,” raising funds and awareness for St. Jude’s. Because of his efforts, Matthew exceeded his fundraising goal, generating more than $30,000 in donations for St. Jude’s research, programs and essential services.

Wentworth Institute of Technology
JM Electrical has a strong partnership with the Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) that dates back more than 50 years. As a member of the Class of ’72, Paul Guarracino has maintained close ties with the college, serving as a Trustee and a member of the Finance Committee.
Through the company’s first-hand experience and knowledge of Wentworth’s outstanding academic offerings, JM Electrical offers employees seeking opportunities for professional growth and development. JM Electrical is proud to host the school’s students through its co-op program, many of which continue on to be JME employees.
The Clothing Connection
Community service is part of the JM Electrical legacy. Our team regularly supports a diverse group of community-based nonprofits, among them the Clothing Connection, which provides clothing and other essentials to children living in nearby Salem, Massachusetts.
For the past few years, our team has come together to donate much-needed cold weather gear, from boots, hats, and gloves to outerwear to this vital community service organization.
