Success Stories

Governor’s Academy

JM Electrical partnered with The Governor’s Academy to install a 30kW solar photovoltaic system on the school’s campus in Byfield, MA. The system includes a collection area that generates an estimated 28,000 kW of power per year and is equipped with an interactive LCD screen, allowing students to see real time data on the solar system. This technology is incorporated into the school’s curriculum and is used to teach students about renewable energy. The school installed the system at no cost through a power purchasing agreement (PPA) and the use of government rebates.

Hoosac Valley High School

JM Electrical worked with Hoosac Valley High School and other contractors to install a ground mount solar panel system capable of 495 kW of power. The system is made up of nearly 2,000 solar panels and is used to stabilize the school’s long-term electricity expenses. The PV system was installed at no up-front cost to the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District through a long-term power purchasing agreement (PPA). In addition to providing renewable energy services for the project, JM Electrical performed all electrical installations to ensure the project’s timely completion.

Jefferson Park

JM Electrical contributed to a solar installation project on the Jefferson Park apartment buildings, which is a group of buildings that make up a housing complex in North Cambridge owned by the Cambridge Housing Authority. The complex is made up of four separate three-story buildings, which have separate solar arrays expected to generate roughly 100kW of electricity. JM Electrical was happy to provide an updated energy system that would reduce the building’s energy costs for the new housing development.
